Hello Everyone,

I volunteer with the Grand Lake Retail Advisory Group (GLRAG), a community based organization that is looking to promote and attract businesses to Grand, Lakeshore, and Lake Park avenues. You can learn more about what we do at http://www.glrag.org. Please check out our survey results.

One of our promotions is the Grand Lake Theater Stub Club. Starting now, if you watch a movie at the Grand Lake Theater you can use your ticket stubs to receive discounts at local participating merchants. There are currently 25 businesses that will honor your ticket stub for seven days after your purchase, in addition you can use your ticket stub over and over in that week. Chao Thai is offering a 15% discount off your entire purchase, minium 2 entrees.

Fundraising ideas for Araceli Solis

Does anyone have any ideas/ want to help fundraise for Araceli and her family?
Araceli's car was lit on fire the night of the Oscar Grant protest/mob. She is a mother of two young children who lives on 15th Street and is currently struggling to replace her old car. I was thinking it would be nice if we could come together as neighbors and help her out. If anyone has any ideas for how to fundraise or would like to help me organize,
please respond. Thanks!

Lakeside boathouse renewal

I see the grounds around the boathouse are now all dug up. Does anyone know the expected completion date for the refurbishment? (I want to know when I can buy my first beer in the proposed new restaurant...)
